Chapter Philanthropy and Service

The national philanthropy of Zeta Tau Alpha is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Every year, ZTAs around the country devote countless hours to raising money for the fight against breast cancer through education, awareness, and research. “Think Pink” is a registered trademark of Zeta Tau Alpha. Since 1999, ZTA also has maintained a partnership with the NFL.  Alumnae and collegiate members have worked with 32 NFL teams and have distributed over one million ribbons to professional football fans across the nation.

During October, our chapter holds our fall philanthropy called the Crown Classic in which members of several organizations, our families, and the Blacksburg community participate in. The events of the Crown Classic include a golf tournament, a picnic, a pageant, donation booths, and more. All of the proceeds made from each of these events are donated to breast cancer awareness and education benefitting the fighters, the survivors, and the taken of this disease. 

As members of Zeta Tau Alpha, we strive to give back to the community in as many ways as possible. In the fall, we also participate in Virginia Tech's Greeks Giving Back and Renew the New River. In the spring, many of our members give back to the Blacksburg community by taking part in The Big Event.
